3rd Year Boilermaker Apprentice - Steel Fabrication

Privately owned, family-run manufacturing facility specialising in high-quality steel and aluminium semi-trailers and low loaders.

We are seeking a motivated 3rd Year Boilermaker Apprentice/first class welder to join our steel fabrication team. You'll work alongside experienced tradespeople fabricating steel chassis and components for trailer tipper bodies, gaining hands-on experience in cutting, fitting, welding and general steel fabrication while continuing your apprenticeship.

This is a small team environment where quality workmanship, safety and working well together are important.

Key Responsibilities:

- Fabricate steel chassis and components for trailer tipper bodies
- Read and interpret technical and fabrication drawings
- Measure, mark out, cut, fit and weld steel components
- Use hand and power tools safely and effectively
- Complete fabrication work to required specifications and quality standards
- Work with the team to meet production schedules and deadlines
- Follow WHS procedures and safe work practices
- Maintain a clean, organised and safe work area

Set hours: Monday to Thursday 6:30am - 4:30pm, Friday 6:30am - 1:30pm

What You'll Need to Succeed:

- Currently completing an Boilermaker Apprenticeship
- Basic understanding of steel fabrication and welding
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
- Good measuring and basic maths skills
- Solid work ethic, reliability and willingness to learn
- Good attention to detail and pride in your workmanship
- Ability to work effectively in a small team
- Commitment to WHS and safe work practices
- A current driver's licence
