Field Merchandising & Maintenance Operator (Full-Time, Field-Based)

The Role

This is not a standard retail merchandising role.

This is a hands‑on, field‑based role where you’ll manage a portfolio of sites across Melbourne—keeping machines stocked, well presented, and working properly day‑to‑day .

You’ll spend most of your time on the road working independently across multiple locations, using retail experience &attention; to detail to keep things looking excellent, and basic tools & practical problem‑solving to keep things running smoothly.

If you’re someone who prefers purely visual merchandising or customer‑facing retail, this role won’t be the right fit.

If you like staying active, fixing problems when they happen, and managing your own day—this is a strong fit.

What You’ll Be Doing

Travelling between sites in a company van across Greater Melbourne

Restocking machines and maintaining strong retail presentation standards

Troubleshooting faults and applying practical fixes using basic tools (training provided, but hands‑on confidence is essential)

Keeping clear digital records of servicing, stock, and issues

Communicating with the operations team throughout the day

Supporting light warehouse tasks as required

What This Role Is Like

You’ll start each day with a plan—and take ownership of executing it

You’ll work independently in the field , solving problems as they arise

No two days are exactly the same,



but standards and expectations are clear

The role includes occasional overnight travel across VIC and occasional interstate travel to TAS

Practical and hands‑on — you’re comfortable using basic tools and fixing issues

Reliable and organised — you follow through and manage your time well

Independent — confident working across multiple sites on your own

Detail‑focused — you take pride in presentation and getting things right

Strong communicator — you keep others informed and elevate when needed

Ideal background (not essential):

Field merchandising, retail operations, field service, logistics, or hands‑on roles

Any experience where you’ve fixed, maintained, or troubleshot equipment

If you don’t need industry experience, but you must be comfortable working with tools and getting stuck into practical problems .
