An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced Yard Forklift Operator to join a busy heavy equipment facility based in Wacol .
This is a high-volume yard role working around large machinery, heavy components and ongoing dispatch activity. You’ll be responsible for keeping freight and equipment moving safely and efficiently in a fast-paced environment, with consistent full-time hours and a genuine temp-to-permanent opportunity for the right candidate.

Duties

- Operate counterbalance forklifts safely and efficiently throughout a busy industrial yard
- Load and unload trucks carrying oversized, awkward and high-value machinery components
- Move heavy equipment and materials throughout the yard and workshop
- Coordinate multiple movements while maintaining strong safety awareness
- Work closely with mechanics, fitters and dispatch teams
- Assist with dispatch preparation, stock movements and general yard duties
- Maintain an organised and efficient yard during periods of high activity
- Follow site safety procedures and maintain a high standard of housekeeping

Skills & Experience

- Current LF Forklift Licence
- Proven experience operating forklifts in a busy industrial yard, warehouse or heavy equipment environment
- Confident handling large, awkward or oversized freight
- Experience loading and unloading trucks
- Strong situational awareness and ability to safely operate around people, vehicles and heavy machinery
- Ability to prioritise tasks and remain calm in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Driver’s licence and reliable transport
- Physically fit and safety-focused
