Armstrong Air is a fast-growing heating and cooling business looking for a full-time HVAC Sales Estimator to join our team in a newly created role.

This is not a desk-based estimating position and we're not looking for a pushy salesperson.

We prefer to meet our customers in their homes or businesses, properly assess the job, understand what they are trying to achieve and provide a solution that is genuinely right for them.

We understand we could produce more quotes sitting behind a desk, but that's not how we want to operate. We believe a more personal approach leads to better solutions, happier customers and better-prepared jobs for our installation teams.

The Role

You’ll take ownership of sales opportunities from the initial site assessment through to quoting, follow-up and handover to our installation team.

Your role will include:

- Travelling to customers' homes and businesses to complete site assessments
- Understanding customer requirements and recommending the right heating and cooling solution
- Preparing accurate quotes and scopes of work
- Following up customers and negotiating to win work
- Following up both successful and unsuccessful quotes and listening to customer feedback
- Accurately recording measurements, photos, job details and customer requirements in our software
- Ensuring our installers receive a clear and accurate scope of works
- Completing desktop quotes when appropriate
- Working closely with our office, sales and field teams
- Thinking outside the box to find practical solutions for challenging jobs

Who We're Looking For

HVAC or relevant trade industry experience is highly regarded. Previous sales experience is preferred, but not essential.

You may already work in HVAC sales or estimating,



or you could be an experienced tradesperson, supervisor or project manager looking for a change from the tools.

- Is comfortable using computers and job-management software
- Can accurately document what has been discussed and sold

- Is a great team player and builds strong relationships with office and field staff
- Understands that finding the right solution for the customer is more key than making a sale at any cost
