We’re on the lookout for a Service Technician to join our growing team! As a key player in the transition to sustainable transport, BYD is at the forefront of electric vehicle innovation and we want you to be part of it.

Key Responsibilities:

- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on BYD vehicles in accordance with manufacturer guidelines
- Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues using diagnostic equipment
- Carry out inspections, road tests, and fault finding
- Complete service documentation and ensure accurate record-keeping
- Ensure all work is carried out to a high standard, with a strong focus on safety and quality
- Keep up to date with BYD’s latest service procedures and technology (EV training provided)
- Collaborate with service advisors and workshop staff to ensure timely and efficient service delivery
- Maintain a clean, organised and compliant workshop environment

Requirements:





- Fully qualified automotive mechanic (Certificate III in Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology or equivalent)
- Strong diagnostic and problem-solving abilities
- Experience with up-to-date vehicle systems (EV experience a plus, but not essential)
- Excellent attention to detail and a proactive attitude
- Good communication skills and a team player mindset
