Sub-Contract Hv Electricians - Mobile Plant

HauLec is a specialist electrical service provider operating in the NSW coalfields. We supply labour, technical support and parts to customers in the Hunter Valley, Gunnedah & Mudgee regions. We specialise in the service and support of Electric drive mobile equipment and are passionate about the work we do.

Qualifications & requirements

- Cert 3 electro-technology - Electrician & certificate of proficiency.
- Electrical Contractors Licence.
- 5 year + experience on electrical drive mining equipment.
- Robust breakdown experience in a mining environment.
- Mine spec 4x4 ute (Short term lease available)
- HV Switching ticket.
- Current order 45 coal board medical.
- CMI insurance policy.
- 20 million public liability insurance.
- First aid/CPR/Low voltage rescue.
- High risk work licences (Preferred)
- Must have right to work in Australia, visa positions are not available.

Tasks & responsibilities





- Maintenance & breakdown works on High Voltage mining equipment, including but not limited to Komatsu, Hitachi, Letourneau, Liebherr, Unit Rig, caterpillar.
- Maintenance of mining support equipment such as 2-ways, collision avoidance systems, fleet management/dispatch systems.
- Air conditioning servicing and repairs.
- Compile service reports & interact with customers.
- Willingness to work away from home when required.
- Ability to work safely & efficiently in breakdown situations.
- Maintain safety standards at all times including: Adhering to site PPE requirements - Completing take 5's - Completing JSA's for complex tasks - Reporting & rectifying workplace hazards.
