An opportunity exists for a highly organised and motivated individual to provide executive support to the Head Land Systems (HLS), a senior Australian Defence Force (ADF) officer responsible for overseeing the acquisition and sustainment of land based Defence capabilities.
In this role, you will independently manage the HLS office while working closely with stakeholders across the organisation to deliver high-quality executive and administrative support.
Key responsibilities include managing appointments and calendars, coordinating meetings, preparing correspondence, organising travel, and compiling briefing packs, reports and papers for senior Defence committees. You will also act as a key point of contact for stakeholders, manage front-of-office functions, and respond to enquiries in a professional and timely manner.
Success in this role requires initiative, sound judgement, discretion, and the ability to anticipate priorities and manage competing demands. You will also maintain office systems and records in accordance with Defence policies, procedures, and information management requirements.

Our Ideal Candidate
As an APS 5 Executive Assistant, you will perform complex administrative tasks. You will either have the relevant experience or be able to demonstrate skills required in a supporting Senior Executive personnel, and able to work independently with little or no supervision.
Your ability to interact with an integrated workforce (military and civilian) at all levels, in a fast paced environment, often working under tight deadlines, while retaining a composed and good natured approach, will see you provide seamless support to the Senior Officer. Experienced across all executive support knowledge areas, you will be able to use initiative to make informed decisions, be action oriented to solve problems, take a collaborative approach and possess excellent communication skills in order to engage with a range of stakeholders.
