Having secured significant investment and with ambitious growth plans ahead, they're looking for a Senior Backend .
NET Engineer to help shape the architecture and engineering standards of their core platform.
This is a genuine greenfield opportunity where you'll spend the majority of your time building scalable backend services, APIs and distributed systems using the latest Microsoft technologies.
Working in a small, high-performing engineering team, you'll have significant ownership over technical decisions while enjoying the flexibility of a primarily remote working environment, with occasional Sydney meetups for planning and collaboration.
What you'll be working on: Designing and building high-performance backend services using .
NET 9, C# and microservices.
Developing event-driven applications using Azure Service Bus, messaging patterns and Azure Functions.
Building secure, scalable APIs powering a up-to-date financial platform.




Working across the full software development lifecycle from architecture through to deployment.
Contributing to engineering standards, code reviews and technical direction.
Mentoring junior engineers with a clear pathway into a Lead Engineer role.
What we're looking for: Strong commercial experience with C# and modern .
NET (6/8/9).
Proven experience building backend systems and microservices.
Hands-on Azure experience, particularly Azure Functions and Azure Service Bus.
Strong understanding of distributed systems and event-driven architecture.
SQL database experience alongside CI/CD and Git.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to thrive in a startup environment.
Nice to have: React exposure.
Terraform or Bicep.
FinTech or financial services experience.
Previous mentoring or leadership experience.
