Your current company An opportunity is available for an experienced Permit Room Officer to join a busy safety team supporting operations within a large industrial environment.This role will suit a safety-focused administrator with strong attention to detail and experience working with permit systems, compliance processes, or operational safety procedures.Based in Fremantle, this position offers a short-term assignment through to 30 November ****, working Monday to Friday with occasional weekend work as required.Your new roleReporting to the Safety Coordinator, you will play a key role in coordinating permit processes and supporting site safety compliance activities.Key responsibilitiesManaging and administering the Permit to Work (PTW) systemReviewing permits and supporting documentation to ensure work is authorised and compliantCoordinating high-risk work permits, isolations and lockout processesConducting site inspections to verify permit requirements and workplace readinessMaintaining accurate permit records and documentationSupporting compliance with safety policies,



procedures and legislative requirementsAssisting with safety administration and training initiatives as requiredLiaising with contractors, operational teams and stakeholders regarding permit requirementsWhat you'll need to succeedPrevious experience issuing permits to work (highly desirable)Alternatively, strong experience with systems administration, compliance or operational coordinationKnowledge of Work Health and Safety practices within industrial, mining, logistics, construction or heavy industry environmentsUnderstanding of WA WHS legislation and safety requirements (desirable)Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skillsStrong organisational skills with a high level of accuracy and attention to detailIntermediate to advanced computer skills across Microsoft Office and business systemsAbility to work independently and manage competing prioritiesWhat you'll get in returnImmediate start opportunityAssignment through to November ****$***** per hour flat rateUp to 40 hours per weekOpportunity to work within a well-established safety-focused environmentValuable exposure to industrial operations and compliance processes
