You're a highly competent scaffolding professional who understandsjob sites, scaffold requirements, measure-ups, drawings and quotinginside out. You can walk a site, read the risks and constraints, calculate labour and materials accurately, and turn requirements into practical, competitive and commercially sound scaffold quotes.
You thrive in a fast-moving environment. You pick things up quickly, adapt without fuss, bring energy to every day and genuinely care about getting it right for the customer. You don't wait to be told twice; you see what needs doing and you do it.
This is a permanent full time role reporting to the Service Director, withovertime opportunities available.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
Estimate & Quote: Accurately, Every Time
Get out on site to conduct thorough measure-ups, pre-checks and site assessments and fully understand scope, constraints and access
Price confidently: assess labour, hours, materials, logistics, access and safety requirements to build quotes that are accurate and commercially sound
Prepare and submit quotes using company templates (Excel-based), including drawings and supporting documentation
Read and interpret customer plans, scaffold drawings and specifications with ease
Use Google Maps and other tools to assess parking, material movement, site access and any additional cost factors before pricing
Support the Service Manager on larger or more complex estimates when required
Follow Up & Stay Connected
Chase submitted quotes proactively with timely, professional follow-up calls that move jobs forward
Make regular check-in calls to existing and past customers to keep relationships warm and probe for upcoming work
Ask the right questions, listen well and recommend practical solutions that fit the customer's situation
Plan & Hand Over Cleanly
Manage the job from first enquiry through to clean handover with the Service team
Prepare job pack including gear list,
installation notes and handover all relevant documentation to the scaffold team to facilitate smooth project delivery
Confirm all site induction requirements for scaffolders well in advance of job commencement, allowing sufficient time to complete all required inductions
Brief scaffolders clearly on how each job needs to go in, drawing on your own field knowledge
Maintain accurate records of quotes, customer communication, project details and documentation
Seek feedback post-job to sharpen future quotes and improve business outcomes
Safety, Compliance & Team
Factor safety, compliance and site risk into every estimate and customer conversation from the start
Work collaboratively with the Service team, warehouse and internal stakeholders to keep jobs moving
Stay flexible, as urgent customer needs and reasonable overtime are part of the role

WHAT YOU BRING
You bring real scaffolding knowledge, ideally gained from time on the tools, and the confidence to turn that into sharp, accurate quotes:
- Strong scaffold industry knowledge with a hands-on understanding of how jobs go together
- Proven ability to estimate labour, hours and materials accurately, with a genuine feel for the numbers
- Experience with site measure-ups, scaffold drawings, quotes and construction estimating
- Technically sharp: comfortable reading plans, interpreting drawings and identifying site complexity early
- Clear, professional communicator with customers, crews, suppliers and internal teams
- Competent in Microsoft Excel, email and business systems; picks up new tools quickly
- Calm under pressure, meets deadlines,
never lets accuracy slip when things get busy
- Agile, growth-minded and genuinely willing to stretch, learn and adapt as the business grows
YOU'D BE A GREAT FIT IF...
- You're a retired or former scaffolder ready to bring your field expertise into an estimating role
- You've quoted scaffold work before and know what an accurate, well-structured quote looks like
- You can provide practical installation guidance and brief scaffold crews with confidence
- You know ScaffPlan and can produce scaffold drawings with it
- You have experience with HirePOS, scaffold design software, or any other similar hire-rental software
- You hold a White Card (or are ready to get one); forklift licence is a bonus
BEFORE YOU APPLY: MUST-HAVES
- You hold permanent working rights in Australia; no sponsorship is available for this role
- A current Scaffolding Ticket is a must
- You live within approximately 30 to 40 minutes' drive of Riverstone, NSW
- You are fully committed to an onsite role: this is 100% at Riverstone, no work-from-home
- You can attend site visits as required for accurate, in-depth measure-ups
- You are available to start immediately or with a very short notice period; this is an urgent hire
Note: Pre-employment checks: National Police Clearance, reference checks and drug & alcohol testing will be required.
