- Assist with security audits, security assessments and penetration testing to identify vulnerabilities.
- Triage, validate and curate vulnerability findings from security tools and assessments, prioritising remediation based on severity, exploitability, asset criticality and business risk.
- Work with system owners and subject matter experts to clarify remediation requirements,
track progress and support timely closure of vulnerabilities.
- Respond to security events and incidents by conducting investigations, providing analytical support, coordinating with subject matter experts and defining remediation, mitigation or escalation pathways.
- Contribute to, maintain and support the implementation of security policies, procedures, communications and awareness initiatives.
- Remediate or escalate non-compliance with security policies, processes and controls.
- Support incident response plans, processes and solutions where they are required as security risk mitigations or incident remediations.
- Collaborate with teams across Transmax to embed security into business processes, responsibilities and activities.
- Stay up to date with current cyber security threats, technologies, standards, regulatory requirements and threat intelligence.
What You’ll Bring
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in security analysis or a similar cyber security role.
- Strong investigation and triage skills across security detections, alerts and events, including the ability to assess severity, identify likely causes and determine appropriate response actions.
- Experience triaging and prioritising vulnerabilities using vulnerability management platforms, threat intelligence, asset context and risk-based remediation principles.
- Experience with security standards and regulatory frameworks such as ASD ISM, NIST CSF, ISO 27001 and MITRE ATT&CK.;
- Comprehensive understanding of networking, protocols, firewalls,
network security and information security principles.
- Solid experience working with Windows and Linux operating systems.
- Significant experience contributing to and maintaining security policies, processes, controls and procedures.
- Strong awareness of current cyber security vulnerabilities, threat behaviours, and tactics, techniques and procedures.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain technical details clearly and work effectively with stakeholders across the business.
- High attention to detail, strong analytical skills and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience with Rapid7, CrowdStrike and Splunk is preferred.
