Rex J Andrews Pty Ltd has been manufacturing and maintaining specialised heavy haulage trailers for over 35 years. Due to continued growth, we're looking for a reliable, hands-on person to join our workshop team.
This role would suit someone with experience in a manufacturing or engineering workshop who has operated CNC machinery or has basic machining experience and is keen to further develop their skills.
About the Role
Working alongside our experienced tradespeople, you'll assist with the manufacture of precision components and provide general workshop support.
Duties Include
Operating CNC machining equipment (training provided where required)
Assisting with basic machining tasks
Loading and unloading materials
Cutting, drilling and preparing components
Using hand and power tools
General workshop labouring and housekeeping
Assisting fitters, boilermakers and machinists as required
Maintaining a safe and organised work workplace
What We’re Looking For
Previous experience in a manufacturing, engineering or mechanical workshop
Experience operating CNC machinery (preferred)
Mechanically minded with a willingness to learn
Reliable with a strong work ethic
Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team
Commitment to workplace safety
Desirable but not essential:
Forklift licence
Overhead crane experience
Experience reading engineering drawings
Experience with manual machining equipment
