APG Workforce are currently recruiting a skilled Boilermaker/Metal Fabricator to join our client based in Echuca.
About the role
This position is integral to the production and fabrication of high-quality structural steel for domestic and commercial buildings. As a key member of the manufacturing team, you will be responsible for carrying out welding, fabrication, and assembly tasks to the highest standards.
Key Responsibilities
Performing skilled welding, fabrication and assembly of metal components
Reading and interpreting engineering drawings.
Operating a variety of metalworking equipment, including Mig welder, grinders, power tools, oxy, plasma, bandsaws, and spray painting.
Troubleshooting, basic maintenance, and resolving issues with machinery and equipment
Adhering to all workplace health and safety guidelines and procedures
Contributing to a collaborative team setting and continuous improvement initiatives
Requirements
Formal trade qualifications in Boilermaking, Metal Fabrication, and/or Welding
Current Forklift Licence
White Card
Minimum 3 years' experience working as a Boilermaker, Metal Fabricator, or Welder
Strong proficiency in MIG, and other welding techniques
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, diagrams, and specifications
Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills
Strong attention to detail and commitment to high-quality craftsmanship
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Positive communication and interpersonal skills
