Trades Assistant - Maintenance Team
$43.25 per hour | Monday to Friday | 6:00am - 2:00pm
Our client, based in Truganina is a leading steel reinforcement manufacturer. We are seeking a reliable Trades Assistant to support their maintenance team. This role will suit someone with hands-on skills, has experience with hand tools, and a robust interest in machine maintenance.
Key responsibilities:
Assisting maintenance staff with servicing and repairs on cutting and bending machines
Helping change blades, rollers, bearings, and hydraulic hoses under supervision
Carrying out basic lubrication, greasing, and cleaning tasks
Preparing tools, parts, and materials for maintenance work
Removing scrap, offcuts, and debris to keep machines protected and explicit
Performing minor tack welds for non-critical joins
What's on offer:
$43.25 per hour plus super
Casual pay rates
Monday to Friday, 6:00am - 2:00pm
Plenty of overtime
Ongoing employment
About you:
Some welding experience is an advantage
Mechanically minded and eager to learn
Reliable, punctual, and safety-conscious
Able to pass a full medical assessment
Full Australian work rights are required
