About the Role

As a Heavy Vehicle Mechanic at our Dubbo depot, you’ll be responsible for maintaining and repairing our fleet to the highest standards. From scheduled servicing to hydraulic system repairs and emergency fixes, you’ll play a key role in keeping operations running smoothly.

What You’ll Do
Perform scheduled maintenance and repairs on heavy vehicles
Diagnose and repair mechanical and hydraulic systems
Handle non-routine and emergency repairs when required
Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with safety standards
Keep your workspace clean and organized
Collaborate with other trades and support apprentices

What You’ll Bring
Trade qualification and proven experience with heavy vehicles
Strong knowledge of mechanical and hydraulic systems
HR driver’s licence




Understanding of WHS & NHVR regulations
Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
Problem-solving skills and attention to detail (Experience in the waste management industry is a bonus!)
