South Coast Disability Services (SCDS) provide support to NDIS participants in the Ulladulla and Batemans Bay regions. SCDS has a Supported Independent Living (SIL) house at Longbeach (10 minutes from Batemans Bay)
SCDS are looking for applicants who have at least one year of experience in the disability or aged care sector. We are also looking for applicants who can commit to an immediate start. Successful applicants will be trained in the support needs of individual participants.
Availability needs to be a minimum of four - five days per week. There are a variety of shift times, including sleepovers, weekends and active night shifts.
The role of a Disability Support Worker (DSW) includes: assisting participants with personal care, community access, household tasks and engaging participants in meaningful activities.
A DSW should promote independence and skill building by adopting active support strategies. Including Participants in tasks of daily life and household tasks.
South Coast Disability Services promote teamwork and positive communication with participants and colleagues.
SCDS provides a respite service, allowing parents and families to have a break from the day to day care of their family member.
South Coast Disability Services is a registered NDIS provider.
