What You’ll Be Doing
Build, optimise and ship real-time VFX systems including fire, embers/ash, liquids/gore, steam/mist, glass shards, and screen-portal transitions.
Implement VFX that integrate seamlessly with stereo media layers and alpha-card content, including multi-layer compositing in-engine.
Take full ownership of performance: GPU/CPU profiling, draw call and overdraw reduction, Shader optimisation, LODs and quality tiers.
Partner closely with engineering on the runtime delivery system, including Asset bundles, Timecode-driven triggers, and Spatial anchoring.
What We’re Looking For
Proven experience as a Senior Unity Technical Artist with shipped real-time VFX.
Robust knowledge of Unity (URP/HDRP desirable).
Advanced skills in Shader Graph and/or HLSL.
Hands-on experience with VFX Graph and Unity Particle System.
Confident with GPU profiling and performance optimisation.
Deep understanding of XR constraints and comfort considerations, including: Stereo readability, Depth cues, Occlusion, Passthrough blending
Bonus Points
Experience with stereo / immersive media pipelines, including alpha video, depth mattes and composited plates.
Knowledge of MR / passthrough blending techniques and lighting illusion tricks.
Background in high-end real-time visuals for XR, VR, MR or immersive installations.
