Synergy Pipelines & Plumbing is a locally owned civil contractor delivering underground water, sewer, drainage and pipeline infrastructure throughout the Mackay region.

We're looking for an experienced Excavator Operator who takes pride in their work, looks after their machine, and understands that quality excavation is critical to a successful pipeline installation.

What you'll be doing
Operate 5T–30T excavators on civil construction projects
Excavate for sewer, stormwater and water main installations
Trim trenches and foundations to level and grade
Work closely with pipelayers and supervisors
Lift and place pipes, pits and precast structures
Complete daily pre-starts and basic machine maintenance
Work safely around existing underground services
Assist with general site activities when required

What we're looking for
Proven experience operating excavators in civil construction




Experience excavating around live underground services
Good understanding of trench safety and excavation practices
Ability to read plans or work from laser/set-out marks
Final trim experience highly regarded
White Card (essential)
Current Driver's Licence (essential)
Excavator ticket/RII (preferred)
HR licence (advantage)
GPS machine control experience (advantage)
