You will guide users through industry-aligned training, manage a skilled technical team and shape inclusive, practical learning environments.What you will deliverDeliver specialist design, CAD/CAM and fabrication services that support teaching, research and competition teams.Supervise and mentor technicians, allocating work, monitoring performance and ensuring consistent, high-quality service delivery.Provide industry-aligned, competency-based training and supervision that builds user skills, confidence and safe working habits.Maintain and service workshop machinery and equipment, embedding Safety-in-Design and rigorous compliance across all activities.Identify, manage and elevate operational, safety and service risks while coordinating resources with the Makerspace Supervisor.You may be a great fit if youHold a relevant degree or trade qualification, or equivalent experience, in engineering or technical workshop disciplines.Bring extensive CAD/CAM and engineering design expertise, including CNC workflows and design-for-manufacture processes.Lead small technical teams effectively,



with a track record of high-quality service and performance management.Demonstrate strong knowledge of Australian OHS legislation and experience managing operational and safety risks in workshops.Possess qualifications in one or more technical trades such as machining, fabrication, mechatronics, electronics or digital fabrication.Offer experience delivering practical, competency-based training or supervision in higher education or industry learning environments.For further information please refer to the attached PD.What we offer you!
