A growing Australian business operating within the industrial and engineering sector is seeking a Finance Manager to join its Brisbane-based leadership team.With operations continuing to expand both locally and internationally, the business is investing in its finance capability to support the next phase of growth.
This newly created role offers the prospect to work closely with the CFO, leading the day-to-day finance function while contributing to strategic initiatives, operational improvements and long-term succession planning.The RoleReporting directly to the CFO, you'll take ownership of the finance function, ensuring reporting, compliance and operational finance activities are delivered efficiently while providing leadership to a small finance team.This is a hands-on leadership role where you'll balance day-to-day finance management with business partnering, process improvement and project work.
You'll work closely with operational teams, helping drive better financial visibility while strengthening systems, controls and reporting processes.Key responsibilities include:Leading month-end reporting, reconciliations and management reporting activitiesManaging day-to-day finance operations, including working capital, cashflow and transactional oversightSupporting budgeting, forecasting and financial analysis for senior leadershipOverseeing inventory, WIP and operational finance processesManaging statutory compliance,
audit preparation and tax-related activitiesLeading and mentoring a small finance team while managing workflow and prioritiesDriving process improvements, strengthening controls and enhancing finance systemsPartnering with operational stakeholders to improve financial performance and business outcomesAbout youYou're an experienced finance professional who enjoys leading from the front.
