Your new company A rare opportunity has arisen to join a nationally significant transport infrastructure programme that will shape the future of Australia's rail network.
Working within a government-backed organisation responsible for delivering one of the country's most ambitious rail initiatives, you will play a critical leadership role during the development phase of a complex, multi-billion-dollar programme.Your current role As Rail Technical Manager, you will provide technical leadership across a major rail infrastructure project, overseeing the delivery and performance of engineering and design advisory services while ensuring technical outputs align with programme objectives.
Working closely with senior stakeholders, delivery partners and technical specialists, you will lead the review and assurance of multidisciplinary engineering packages across track, stations, power, signalling, rolling stock and systems integration.Key responsibilities include:Managing engineering and technical advisory contracts to ensure delivery against milestones and programme objectivesLeading technical assurance activities across major rail systems and infrastructure assetsCoordinating multidisciplinary engineering inputs throughout project developmentProviding technical leadership across systems engineering, safety assurance and risk management activitiesDriving integration across planning, commercial, environmental and operational work streamsManaging relationships with consultants, contractors, regulators and government stakeholdersSupporting innovation,
technical excellence and continuous improvement across project deliveryContributing to strategic programme decisions, technical governance and executive reportingWhat you'll need to succeedDegree qualifications in Engineering along with Chartered Professional Engineer (CPEng) status or equivalentExtensive experience delivering major rail infrastructure projects within either client-side, consultancy or contractor environmentsStrong technical knowledge across rail systems including track, stations, rolling stock, signalling and systems integrationDemonstrated experience managing multidisciplinary engineering teams and large consultancy contractsExperience working within complex project development environments, including ECI, alliance or collaborative delivery modelsStrong understanding of systems engineering, safety assurance and risk management principlesExceptional stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to influence senior executives, government agencies and delivery partnersAustralian Citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain a Baseline Security ClearanceWhat you get in returnOpportunity to contribute to one of Australia's most significant rail infrastructure programmesExecutive-level leadership position with strategic influenceExposure to complex, nationally important transport projectsCollaborative environment working alongside industry-leading technical expertsSydney-based position with long-term career opportunitiesCompetitive executive remuneration package
