We're looking for a hands‐on and proactive Maintenance Officer to help keep our resort operating at its best while ensuring our facilities remain safe, functional and welcoming for all who visit.This position operates on a roster of four days per week, Sunday to Wednesday, from 8:00am to 6:00pm.Located in the stunning coastal setting of Cape Schanck on the Mornington Peninsula, this is an opportunity to enjoy a varied role where no two days are the same, all while being part of a supportive team at one of Victoria's leading resort destinations.About the OpportunityReporting to the Maintenance Manager, you'll play an important role in maintaining the resort's buildings, infrastructure, plant and equipment to the highest standards.
You'll work across a variety of maintenance tasks, helping to ensure an exceptional experience for our members, guests and visitors.Key responsibilities include:Performing general repairs and maintenance across resort facilitiesProactively identifying and resolving maintenance issuesAssisting with preventative maintenance programs for buildings, plant and equipmentMaintaining property presentation and ensuring work areas meet safety standardsWorking collaboratively with operational departments to support resort operationsCoordinating and supervising contractors when requiredSupporting workplace health, safety and environmental initiativesAssisting with continuous improvement activities and maintenance projectsWhat You'll BringWe're looking for someone who enjoys hands‐on work, takes pride in delivering quality outcomes and has a strong focus on customer service.You'll have:Previous experience in building or property maintenanceBroad handyman skills across areas such as carpentry, painting,
plumbing or general repairsStrong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independentlyExcellent communication and relationship‐building skillsA proactive approach with strong attention to detailA commitment to workplace safety and best practice maintenance standardsA current driver's licenceHighly regarded:Trade qualifications in Electrical, Carpentry, Plumbing, Mechanical, Refrigeration or GasExperience in hotel, resort or hospitality environmentsKnowledge of building management systems, HVAC or aquatic facilitiesWhy Join RACV?
