Our Emergency Department provides 24/7 urgent medical care for patients in Greater Hobart.
Our experienced team works with leading specialists, physicians & surgeons on call.
We have access to Orthopaedic, General surgery, Cardiology, Urology and other surgical specialties.
The unit has on site Pathology, Radiology and Pharmacy providers.Key ResponsibilitiesWorking as part of a team in a 24-hour Emergency Department, according to Policies and Procedures, that works co-operatively,



sharing roles and responsibilities to meet the needs of patients.Undertaking DEM Reception dutiesEnsure that all DEM administration functions are performed efficiently and effectively ensuring excellent customer serviceUnderstands the tasks and activities of other front office DEM functions and undertakes as necessaryOther duties as requested by Unit ManagerMaintains patient confidentiality in accordance with legislation and organisational policiesPractices at all times in a manner that is consistent with organisational policies and procedures, including but not limited to OH&S;, Workers' Compensation & Infection Control.Essential CriteriaCurrent Working with Vulnerable People registrationMinimum of one-year experience in an administrative positionExceptional communication and interpersonal skillsExperience in the use of the MS Office suite of programs, excel spreadsheets and emailAbility to work with minimal supervisionCommitment to excellent customer service and continuous improvementDesirable CriteriaWorking knowledge of health funds as they pertain to the private sectorPrevious experience in a similar role in a private hospitalKnowledge and understanding of confidentiality issuesExperience in hospital patient management systemsWorking knowledge of medical terminologyApplications Close: Monday 20th July ****Salary: You will receive a salary based on your years of relevant experience against the current Healthscope - Tasmania - Non Nursing - Enterprise Agreement ***********, a salary of $***** Per hour.More Information: Our commitment to quality and safety for our patients, staff and visitors is our highest priority.
