A outstanding job for cat loversSimply Purrfect Cattery is an expanding business located on the Gold Coast that offers excellent feline accommodation.
We are looking for a new staff member to help the business grow, ideally the candidate should have previous experience in the cattery/kennelling industry.We are looking for a candidate that can work Wednesday to Sunday on a causal base.
The shifts will be flexible with a start time of 6.30 am to 11 am with the some afternoon work from 2 pm to 6 pm.
The hours may increase as the business expands.
Likely works hours are between 10 to 14 hours weekly.We are naturally busiest during School Holidays, the month of December and the Easter period.
You will need to be available during these times.The role will requireWelcoming clients to the cattery, you must have a calm and friendly manner with a dash of humourHandling client enquiries professionally in person, via email and over the phoneProcessing payments using EFTPOS and CashIntermediate computer skills with the ability to pick up the Pet Manger client booking systemA good understanding of cleanlinessThe willingness to clean suites, office, and kitchen areas to a high standardExcellent communication skills when talking to clients about their cats stay and future bookingsAbility to work efficiently both independently and as part of a teamPacking food into containers,
using a racking system to track client foodProviding videos or photos to clientsDaily JobsInteracting with catsCats have different temperaments and ideally you will have experience in handling cats.
You must be able to understand their needs and attitudes.Been gentle and caring to both clients and catsPossess an eye for detail, presentation is important.Have a keen eye for identifying hazards and resolving them quicklyHave the ability to work alonePossess an understanding of infection control to minimize any possible risk of transmission of disease between feline guests.You must be fit, there is a lot of moving items to clean, kitty litter removal, cat furniture and cleaning up accidents, moving food containers and unpacking food boxesFeeding, grooming and administering of medication, like insulin shots or eye treatments.
You must be comfortable doing this roleAccurate documentation of animal care on a pen sheetSpot cleaning throughout the catteryWashing and disinfecting dishes, bedding and kitty litter trays.
Vacuuming, wiping, mopping and disinfecting cat suites daily.Some administration work using the Pet Manager booking systemThere is a lot of cleaning is involved vacuuming, sweeping, some minor gardening, cleaning windows, cleaning walls and cleaning the kitchen and office areasCheck-in and check-out cats and their human owners with a smileGetting suites ready for the next guest in a timely mannerAnswering the phone and returning voice mail messages in a timely manner
