About the RoleWe are seeking an experienced and qualified High Risk Work Trainer & Assessor to deliver and assess High Risk Work Licence (HRWL) training across Queensland.
The successful applicant will deliver high-quality theory and practical training, assess learner competency, and ensure all training activities meet regulatory, industry and workplace safety requirements.Training & Assessment AreasForklift Truck (LF)Order Picking Forklift (LO)Dogging (DG)Basic, Intermediate and Advanced Rigging (RB, RI, RA)Basic, Intermediate and Advanced Scaffolding (SB, SI, SA)Slewing Mobile Crane (C2, C6, C1)Non-Slewing Crane (CN)Vehicle Loading Crane (CV)Elevated Work Platform (WP)Other relevant high-risk work licence classesKey ResponsibilitiesDeliver engaging classroom, practical and workplace-based high-risk training.Conduct competency-based assessments in accordance with approved assessment tools.Prepare learners for High Risk Work Licence assessments.Provide clear instruction on safe operating procedures and workplace practices.Maintain accurate training records, assessment documentation and learner evidence.Ensure compliance with RTO Standards, training package requirements and Workplace Health and Safety Queensland requirements.Maintain training equipment and ensure a protected learning environment.Participate in assessment validation,
moderation and continuous improvement activities.Provide professional support and guidance to learners from diverse backgrounds.Travel to client sites and regional locations where required.Essential Selection CriteriaCertificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE***** or equivalent, or a qualification meeting current VET trainer requirements).
Current High Risk Work Licence(s) relevant to the training areas delivered.Current industry experience operating high-risk equipment.Demonstrated experience delivering vocational training and competency-based assessment.Strong knowledge of workplace health and safety legislation and safe operating practices.Excellent communication and presentation skills.Current Driver's Licence.Ability to work independently and manage training activities effectively.DesirableCurrent Workplace Health and Safety Queensland High Risk Work Licence Assessor accreditation.Experience working in mining, construction, civil, logistics or resources industries.Current White Card (Construction Induction).
Working at Heights and Confined Space qualifications.First Aid and CPR certification.Experience delivering training in regional and remote Queensland locations.Experience using Learning Management Systems (LMS).
