Maintenance Fitters – Young, NSW Permanent Full-Time Opportunities
$49–$57/hr Are you an experienced Maintenance Fitter looking for a long-term opportunity with strong earning potential, job security, and a great team culture?
We are seeking multiple Maintenance Fitters to join a well-established food production facility in Young, NSW.
Working within a modern processing environment, you'll play a critical role in maintaining plant reliability, supporting production uptime, and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.
This is an excellent opportunity for fitters seeking a stable regional role with a balanced roster and genuine career progression.The Role Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, your responsibilities will include:
Breakdown and preventative maintenance across processing and packaging equipment
Mechanical fault finding and troubleshooting to minimise downtime
Maintenance of conveyors, pumps, gearboxes, motors, hydraulic and pneumatic systems
Supporting planned shutdowns, repairs and equipment upgrades
Assisting with installations and continuous improvement projects
Ensuring all maintenance work is completed safely and efficiently
Working closely with production teams to maximise plant reliability and performance
About You
Trade qualification in Mechanical Engineering (Certificate III) or equivalent
Experience in FMCG, food processing, manufacturing,



agricultural or industrial environments
Strong mechanical fault-finding and diagnostic skills
Experience with hydraulics, pneumatics, conveyors and rotating equipment
Welding and fabrication experience highly regarded
A proactive, hands-on approach to maintenance
Strong commitment to safety, quality and teamwork
