This is a hands-on role providing electrical repairs and rebuilds with field service support across underground mine sites.If you enjoy fault finding, solving complex electrical issues and working on specialised mining equipment, we'd love to hear from you.About the RoleReporting to the Electrical Manager, you will be responsible for maintaining the performance and reliability of underground mining equipment through electrical diagnostics, repairs and commissioning activities at customer mine sites.Your responsibilities will include:Diagnosing, fault finding and repairing electrical systems on underground mining equipmentPerforming planned maintenance, breakdown repairs and emergency call-outs at customer sitesElectrical assembly, refurbishment and commissioning of mining equipmentInstalling, testing and commissioning electrical components and control systemsReading and interpreting electrical schematics and engineering drawingsCompleting testing,



inspections and documentation in accordance with statutory and company requirementsProviding exceptional customer service while building strong relationships with site personnelWorking safely and complying with all mine site and company safety proceduresAbout YouTo be successful in this role you will have:Electrical Trade Qualification – Essential, minimum requirementAS**** Hazardous area inspection and Maintenance certificationDemonstrated experience working with AS**** explosion-protected (Ex) electrical equipmentProven experience maintaining and repairing underground coal mining equipment.Strong electrical fault-finding and diagnostic skillsExperience reading and interpreting electrical schematicsCurrent Australian Driver LicenceExcellent communication and problem-solving skillsAbility to work autonomously and as part of a high-performing teamCommitment to safety, quality and continuous improvementWillingness to travel to customer mine sites and work overtime when requiredExperience with PLCs, VSDs and mining automation systemsHighly RegardedUnderground coal mining experienceCurrent Coal Board MedicalAS**** repair and overhaulWhy Join Alfabs?
