The Advanced Trainee in Cardiology provides clinical services of the highest possible standard to inpatients and outpatients of Flinders Medical Centre.
The position also contributes to clinical teaching, research and service development within the unit.
Duties for the role will include:Provide appropriate clinical care to patientsCoordinate the follow up care of patientsActive involvement in teaching and supervision of junior medical staff, residents, interns and medical studentsProvide appropriate supervision to Junior Medical Officers, Residents and Intern Medical StaffParticipate in programs designed to provide personal growth and developmentAbout you:Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS)
or equivalentRegistrable with the Medical Board of Australia as a Medical Practitioner with General Registration.Previous experience in providing comprehensive and confidential office management function in a large health orientated organisationAbility to work within broadly defined guidelines and exercise a degree of autonomy in the discharge of duties requiring limited directionUnderstanding of basic ethical and legal issues of duty of care and practice in health care settingsPrevious experience in providing comprehensive and confidential office management function in a large health orientated organisationDemonstrates effective communication, problem solving, conflict resolution and negotiation skillsWorks effectively within multidisciplinary teamsCommunication skills, both oral and in writing, to enable effective services to be delivered to a diverse range of clients with varying needsPlease see the attached Role Description for additional information.As per the SMOEA ****, the total term of employment with SA Health will be 3 years.
Rotations following the initial 12-month allocation as Advanced Trainee will be determined in line with your training and SA Health's requirements.
