We're seeking a nurturing Childcare Worker to join their team.This role goes beyond supervisionyou'll actively contribute to children's developmental milestones while fostering their curiosity through engaging, age-appropriate experiences.Key Duties & Responsibilities: Program Delivery & Child Development:Design and implement stimulating educational programs aligned with theEarly Years Learning Framework (EYLF)Facilitate intentional teaching moments through play-based activities including storytelling, music, art and sensory explorationObserve and document children's progress to support individual learning goals and share insights with familiesGuide social-emotional development by modelling positive behaviour and conflict resolution strategiesDaily Care & Wellbeing:Maintain impeccable hygiene standards including nappy changing,
toileting assistance and mealtime supervisionCreate predictable routines that provide children with emotional security while allowing flexibility for spontaneous learningConduct thorough safety checks of indoor/outdoor environments and resources before activitiesAdminister first aid when required and follow health management plans for children with additional needsFamily & Community Engagement:Build trusting relationships with families through daily conversations and formal progress updatesCollaborate with room leaders to create displays that make children's learning visible to parentsParticipate in community events and centre initiatives that strengthen family connectionsCompliance & Professionalism:Maintain current working with children checkfirst aid certification and relevant qualificationsContribute to quality improvement processes through reflective practiceAttend staff meetings and professional development sessions to enhance practiceSkills & Requirements:Certificate III or Diploma inEarly Childhood Education & Care (or ACECQA-approved equivalent)Proven 1-year minimum experience in long day care or similar setting.Demonstrated knowledge of EYLF and National Quality StandardsGenuine passion for early childhood development with endless patience and creativityCurrentFirst Aid, Asthma & Anaphylaxis certificates as well as proof of vaccinationWorking with children rightsPolice checkStrong communication skills to engage with children, colleagues and familiesReferences from previous employersWhy Apply?
