About the role
The Logistics Planner plays a critical role within Qube Energy's Dampier operations by developing, coordinating, and monitoring both short- and long-term logistics plans.
This position is responsible for ensuring that logistics operations are aligned with customer requirements, resource capabilities, and operational objectives.
The role will also support continuous improvement by tracking performance against key performance indicators (KPIs), identifying bottlenecks or inefficiencies, and working collaboratively with operations and planning teams to drive improvements.
The Logistics Planner also plays a key role in overview of Cargo and Materials, Container Management, Chain of Responsibility assurance.
Targeting industry best practice every time for safe and efficient cargo movement in the supply chain for Qube Energy and our Clients.

Specific Responsibilities
Develop and maintain comprehensive short-term and long-range logistics plans aligned with customer requirements and Qube's operational capabilities
Translate customer Requests for Service (RFS) into actionable logistics plans using internal planning tools
Facilitate booking of transport for operations, including the management of third-party transporters presenting to any Dampier Operational facility to collect or drop of containers and all cargo
Monitoring transporters compliance to the facility booking system such as Inbound Connect
Execute monitoring of transport arrivals outside of their booking window and engaging the company to correct non-compliance informing they will not be serviced without prior written confirmation or confirmed booking slot
Oversee the daily execution of logistics plans, ensuring adherence to scheduled tasks and timelines
Serve as a key interface between planning and customer service, ensuring accurate and timely capture of RFS data and communication of plan status
Work with customers to understand and incorporate their evolving needs into the planning cycle
Plan effectively to resource Labour and Equipment for jobs in the long-range plan and short-range plans that are developed by the Logistics Planner
Assign appropriate personnel and equipment to logistics tasks, ensuring effective utilisation and compliance with safety and operational standards
Coordinate with team leaders and supervisors to ensure planned resource assignments are achievable and optimised for efficiency
Prepare and issue to operational teams Job Planning Packs, ensuring operations have the required documentation informing on job details to be executed, and applicable Job Log Sheets to capture accurately capture Time & Motion of Resources to support productive billing to customer
Maintain record of container storage timeframes to enable accurate billing of storage
Conduct root cause analysis for deviations or underperformance, recommending corrective actions as needed
Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by identifying process and system enhancements
Coordinate with vendors to streamline inbound logistics and reduce lead times
Analyse transportation and distribution workflows to identify bottlenecks
Qualifications & Experience
Prior experience in logistics planning, transport coordination, or supply chain operations (resources sector experience preferred)
Demonstrated ability to use logistics and planning tools (experience with planning software highly regarded)
Strong understanding of operational planning, resource allocation, and KPI-driven performance monitoring
High attention to detail, excellent problem-solving skills, and adaptability to changing conditions
Strong interpersonal and communication skills for effective cross-functional collaboration
Computer literate and experienced in MS Office Suite
Current Australian Driver's Licence (Car)
Chain of Responsibility qualification
Certificate III or IV Supply Chain Logistics and Warehouse Operations (Desirable)
Dangerous Goods Awareness and qualified in in transport of DG by Road, Air & Sea
