About the role
Kaefer Integrated Services Pty Ltd are seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join their team in Darwin, NT on a contract basis.
In this role, you will play a crucial part in the successful delivery of projects by providing expert quantity surveying and cost management expertise.
The position will ideally be a local role in Darwin but working 12-hour days on site on a flexible roster.
KAEFER Australia can also look at a suitably qualified person working a 2-2 roster from interstate as a secondary option.
What you'll be doing
Lead project cost control, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting across the full project lifecycle
Oversee progress tracking, productivity analysis, and resource utilisation to drive performance and efficiency
Manage cost systems, coding structures, and ensure alignment with project budgets and client requirements
Analyse scope changes and commercial impacts, implementing adjustments to cost, schedule, and forecasts
Prepare and manage progress claims, variations, and supporting commercial documentation
Identify project risks, delays, and cost exposures, supporting mitigation strategies and recovery plans (including EOT claims)
Collaborate with planning, operations, and stakeholders to ensure accurate reporting and informed decision-making
What we're looking for




Degree or equivalent qualification in Quantity Surveying or Engineering
Demonstrated experience as a Quantity Surveyor in the construction industry
Strong understanding of construction contracts, procurement processes and cost control
Excellent analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills
Proficient in the use of quantity surveying software and MS Office suite
Effective communication and stakeholder management abilities
Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative project team
