Berryman Diesel Maintenance is seeking multiple Trades Assistants to join our team at Boggabri Coal Operations.
This is a fulltime casual position on a 5/4 day and night rotating roster with the opportunity to gain valuable experience in the trades and services industry.
As a Trades Assistant, you will support on site tradespeople in delivering maintenance and repair services to Boggabri Coal's large range of mining equipment.What you'll be doingAssisting qualified tradespeople with maintenance tasksPreparing work areas and organising tools and equipmentPerforming general labouring duties including cleaning,



sorting and material handlingSupporting the setup and breakdown of work stationsAssisting with the loading and unloading of vehicles and equipmentFollowing health and safety procedures and workplace guidelinesLearning trade skills and techniques under the guidance of experienced team membersMaintaining a clean and protected working environmentWhat we're looking forPhysical fitness and the ability to perform manual labour tasksA willingness to learn and develop skills within the trades industryStrong attention to detail and a commitment to quality workmanshipAbility to follow instructions and work as part of a teamBasic understanding of health and safety practices in a workshop environmentReliability and punctualityPrevious experience as a Trades Assistant or in a similar labouring role is advantageous but not essentialValid driver's licence
