We deliver portion control and all primal requirements to many of North Queensland's best hotels, restaurants, clubs and institutions.An opportunity exists for a reliable and motivated fulltime Administration Assistant person to join our team.The ability to multitask is a must for this position as it is not just an 'Office' role, no two days are the same and you may have to stop one task to do another then go back to your original task whilst still taking care of our customers by answering the sometimes very busy phones.About the role:Classic Meats Townsville supplies portion control and all processed meat requirements to our network of foodservice distribution facilities that supply to hotels, restaurants, clubs and institutions across North Queensland.Duties include (but not limited to):Generate sales and promote products and services on offerManage inbound and outbound calls with customersKey orders from over the phone and emailWork co-operatively with all team membersGeneral clerical duties and liaise with other departmentsOther tasks throughout the business as requiredSkills and experience:Strong organisational skillsAccuracyGood mathematical skillsThe ability to prioritise and multi-taskConfident phone manner and excellent communication skillsSuperior customer service skills with the ability to build and maintain successful working relationshipsSales experience and an understanding of the foodservice industry or an allied industryAn understanding of the basic cuts of Meat & ChickenAbility to work as part of a team and autonomouslyExcellent computer literacy, ability to use Microsoft Excel, Word etc and be able to quickly learn internal systemsExperience in food safety & compliance would be an advantageIn turn we can offer:Monday to Friday – no weekend work.
