We manage 51.5km of track and 21 stations, with a planned expansion into southwest Sydney, connecting communities to opportunities that matterJob DescriptionAbout the RoleLead the Electrical Network function for MTS, reporting to the Head of Infrastructure Engineering.
This permanent, senior leadership role is responsible for maintaining MTS's status as an electrical system operator, driving compliance with the National Electricity Rules, and ensuring the integrity of all electrical assets across the network.This is a hybrid role, with 3 days onsite, 2 days WFH.DutiesLead electrical asset performance, integrity, and safety across the MTS networkOversee LV and HV installation inspection, acceptance, and interface agreementsDrive development and implementation of electrical safety rules and accreditationConduct technical and safety investigations into electrical incidentsManage training and competence assurance systems for all technical staffDesired Skills And ExperienceSkills & ExperienceDemonstrated electrical network system operation experience (railway industry preferred)Experience managing electrical assets within a regulatory authority frameworkProven background in electrical safety documentation as a network distributorStrong understanding of power system and protection system operationsExcellent stakeholder management and communication skills in complex environmentsCulturePeople enjoy working at MTS because the work genuinely matters — every decision contributes to the protected, reliable movement of thousands of Sydneysiders every day.
