The Chance
An exciting opportunity is available for a VR General Practitioner to join a growing national network of Urgent Care Centres, with a Melbourne base location and the option to provide FIFO/DIDO coverage across other sites if desired.
This role is ideal for GPs who enjoy procedural medicine, acute presentations and working in a fast-paced environment outside of the traditional general practice model.
Opportunities are available on a permanent basis, with a minimum commitment of 24 hours per week and flexibility to increase hours based on your availability.
Doctors will manage predominantly Category 3-5 presentations and should be confident assessing and treating a broad range of urgent care cases.
The Practice
1 GP supported by an experienced Registered Nurse
Dedicated triage and administrative support
Modern facilities with access to onsite imaging services where available
Higher-volume centres may have overlapping GP coverage when required
Internal credentialing team providing support with onboarding and compliance
Operating hours generally run from 8:00am to 10:00pm, with shifts commonly split between daytime and afternoon/evening coverage.
Applicants must be comfortable working afternoon and evening shifts.

The Criteria
Current Specialist Registration with AHPRA (FRACGP or FACRRM)
Confidence managing urgent care presentations independently
Experience in fracture management, wound management and reviewing X-rays
A collaborative approach to working alongside nursing staff
Advanced Life Support (ALS) certification, or willingness to obtain within three months
Flexibility to work afternoon/evening shifts
Interest in optional FIFO/DIDO work is highly regarded but not essential
