About the Role
As one of our Breakfast Chefs, you will be responsible for preparing breakfast meals for café patrons and supporting the smooth running of the kitchen.
You will need to be confident working in a busy café environment, with robust time management stills, organised, and able keep things moving during service.




The café can seat up to approximately 35 customers at a time, so we need someone who works well under pressure without getting flustered.
The role reports to the Owner / Supervisor and works alongside the wider café team, including front of house staff and other kitchen staff.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and cook breakfast meals to a consistent, high standard
Manage dockets and timing during busy breakfast service
Maintain food quality, presentation and kitchen standards
Complete general kitchen duties, including prep, cleaning and pack-down
Support the day-to-day flow of the kitchen
Work safely, cleanly and efficiently
Work closely with front of house to support a smooth customer experience
Assist with other kitchen tasks as needed
About You
You will be someone who genuinely thrives on the rhythm of breakfast service.
You'll be calm when it's busy, organised when the dockets are flying, and proud of putting up consistent, high-quality food every time.
You don't need to reinvent the menu, but you do need to care about the details, work well with others, and be happy to jump in wherever needed.
We are looking for someone who is:
A fully qualified chef or an experienced, talented cook
Experienced in breakfast service
Calm, organised and steady under pressure
Able to work independently when needed
Hands-on and happy to jump in wherever required
Consistent, reliable and proud of doing a great job
Flexible with days and available for some weekend work
Easy to work with, with a good sense of humour
Keen to be part of a team that is building something positive
If you're happy to take on additional tasks such as Front of House or Barista duties this will be highly regarded.
Key Skills & Experience
Minimum 2 years' breakfast industry experience
Previous café or restaurant cooking experience
Strong time management skills
Ability to handle a busy docket system
Confidence working across prep, service and cleaning duties
A genuine love of food and hospitality
Ability to work well with kitchen and front of house teams
