HV Commissioning ElectricianFIFO Pilbara Region | 2:1 Roster | $93/hr | 12-Month ContractWe are seeking two experienced HV Commissioning Electricians to support a major Decarbonisation Infrastructure Project across the Pilbara region.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a significant infrastructure project with a strong pipeline of work and a high likelihood of contract extension.About the RoleReporting to the Commissioning Supervisor / Electrical Superintendent, you will be responsible for the installation, testing, commissioning and maintenance of high-voltage electrical systems and associated equipment.
You will play a key role in ensuring systems are safely commissioned and delivered in accordance with project specifications, statutory requirements and industry standards.Key ResponsibilitiesPerform commissioning, functional testing and energisation of HV systemsTest switchgear, transformers, protection relays and control systemsInterpret electrical schematics, single-line diagrams and test proceduresConduct insulation resistance, continuity, polarity and secondary injection testingPerform LV testing and fault-finding activitiesCommission control systems and carry out instrument calibrationIdentify,
diagnose and rectify electrical faults and non-conformancesComplete commissioning records and test documentation accuratelyCoordinate commissioning activities with engineers, project teams and operations personnelMaintain compliance with all safety, environmental and quality requirementsRequired Qualifications & ExperienceCurrent WA Electrical Licence (or recognised equivalent)HV Switching Operator CertificationProven experience in high-voltage installation and commissioningStrong knowledge of protection and control systemsCurrent CPR/LVR accreditationWhite CardCurrent Driver's LicenceDemonstrated commitment to workplace safety and complianceStrong troubleshooting and fault-finding capabilityDesirable ExperienceMinimum 5 years' experience within mining, renewable energy or HV infrastructure projectsExperience preparing and executing HV switching programsKnowledge of SCADA and protection relay systems including SEL, Schneider and SiemensExperience with commissioning documentation and pre-commissioning processesUnderstanding of isolation and permit systemsKnowledge of WA mining legislation and HV regulationsExposure to AC and DC charging infrastructure projectsWhat's on Offer$***** per hour2:1 FIFO roster12-hour shifts12-month contract with solid extension potentialOpportunity to contribute to a major decarbonisation infrastructure projectWork across leading WA mining operations
