The Orthodontic Assistant is a pivotal role to Gorman and Bunch Orthodontics and serves as the primary supporting person to our doctor team.
This role will assist with various activities in working with the doctors and patients alike and will strive to be a positive, friendly, and skilled addition to the team.
This position is for Day shift, Full-Time W/ Benefits Averaging ***** hours, Monday through Thursdays, with occasional half day coverage on Fridays.

Establish a trusting rapport with patients, ensuring the highest level of patient customer service is given to all patientsEducate the patients on orthodontic care and treatment practicesWork chairsidewithpatient care including assisting in placing and removing orthodontic appliancesTaking X-Rays, pictures,



fabricating retainersMaintain patients' charts and transcribe the doctor notes accuratelyKeep patient roomsstocked and organized as well as clean, sterilize, and prepare the equipmentBe receptive to coaching and training from doctors to better develop skillsetOther duties as required
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Knowledge ofOrthodontics and associated treatmentappliances and equipment usedAction-oriented and taking initiative, being adaptive and flexible in a changing environmentUnderstand and can effectively communicate techniques utilized in the Orthodontic fieldHave excellent written and oral communication skillsCompassion and high level of service for our patients, parents, and staffIntegrity, always doing the right thingAbility to handle confidential information and protect patient confidentialityDependable, reliable to be at work when scheduledAble tostay organized and follow instructionProfessional manner and appearance at all times
Education and Experience
High School Diploma, GED or equivalent1-2 years Orthodontic experience required
Where required by state law and/or city ordinance; this employer will provide the Social Security Administration (SSA) and, if necessary, the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), with information from each new employee's Form I-9 to confirm work authorization.
