This is an opportunity to produce creative, engaging content that informs and connects with communities across North Queensland.Based in Cairns or Townsville, you'll work across a broad range of print and digital channels, creating high-quality visual communications while collaborating with internal stakeholders and multidisciplinary teams.ResponsibilitiesDesign and deliver engaging creative assets across print, digital and video platformsProduce publications, brochures, newsletters, presentations, social media content, advertisements, displays and other communication materialsProvide expert design advice, ensuring all work aligns with corporate branding and accessibility standardsTranslate complex information into clear, visually engaging communication productsManage multiple projects and competing priorities while delivering high-quality outcomesLiaise with external suppliers including printers, photographers,
videographers and other creative partnersContribute to continuous improvement and collaborate with other design teams across the departmentIdeally you will have the followingStrong experience using Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop, Premiere Pro) and Microsoft OfficeExperience producing high-quality creative work within a corporate or government environmentKnowledge of branding, style guides and accessible document design (WCAG)Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneouslyStrong communication and stakeholder engagement skills with exceptional attention to detailHighly regardedFive or more years' experience in graphic, digital or visual designRelevant tertiary qualification or equivalent industry experiencePrevious Queensland Government experienceLocationCairns or TownsvilleThis is an office-based role, with versatile working arrangements available following an initial probation period.If you're an experienced designer looking to work on meaningful projects that make a genuine impact across North Queensland communities, we'd love to hear from you.
