About UsBelta Support Services Pty Ltd is a registered NDIS provider delivering inclusive, person-centred disability services across Perth and regional Western Australia.
Our services include Supported Independent Living, Short-Term Accommodation, daily living assistance, community participation, transport support and allied health referrals.
Role OverviewWe are seeking experienced and dedicated Residential Care Officer to join our team.
In this role, you will work within our service units to provide essential support, focusing on community access and personal development for clients with intellectual, physical, social, and emotional disabilities.
The successful candidate will support our clients to develop greater independence, participate in the community and achieve the goals outlined in their individual support plans.
Responsibilities
Provide high-quality care and supervision to clients within Supported Independent Living (SIL) settings and Residential Units, ensuring their safety, dignity, and well-being at all times.
Support clients with intellectual, physical, social, or emotional disabilities in developing daily living skills andpractical life skills and increase their independence.
Lead and coordinate team members in the implementation of individual support plans, care plans and behaviour support strategies, providing guidance, oversight and support in consultation with relevant health professionals.
Encourage and assist clients to engage in community participation, recreational, and social activities, fostering inclusion and confidence.
Observe, record, and report clients' physical, emotional, and behavioural progress, maintaining accurate documentation and confidentiality.
Liaise effectively with families, guardians, support coordinators,



and external service providers to ensure person-centred and coordinated care.
Maintain a protected and supportive environment consistent with NDIS Practice Standards, workplace health and safety policies, and Belta Support Services' values of respect and empowerment.
Participate in ongoing team meetings, supervision, and professional development to ensure best practice in disability and residential support services.
Perform shift work, including evening, overnight, weekend and public holiday shifts, where required.
Requirements
Relevant qualification in disability support, community care, or a related field is preferred.
At least 1 year of hands-on experience in a similar role, ideally in Australian local disability or community services.
Strong commitment to enhancing the lives of individuals with disabilities and fostering a supportive environment.
Experience supporting clients with intellectual, physical, behavioural, social or emotional support needs.
Compassionate, patient, and able to work effectively within a team.
Willing to service on full time basis at least for three years, flexible on working during, evening shifts, night shifts and weekends if necessary.
The successful candidate will also be required to hold, or be able to obtain:
NDIS Worker Screening Clearance.
National Police Clearance.
Working with Children Check, where applicable.
First Aid and CPR certification.
A valid Australian driver's licence, preferred.
