AusSafety is a well‐established occupational hygiene, health and safety consultancy supporting major employers across Australia, including mining, construction, manufacturing, government and industrial sectors.
Due to continued growth across our substantial client base, we are seeking aSenior Occupational Hygienistto provide high‐level technical leadership and specialist advisory services.
This position is ideal for an experienced hygienist who operates confidently at a senior professional level and demonstrates competency aligned with AIOH expectations.
The role is supported by an experienced COH and sits within a technically strong, collaborative team.
The Role:
You'll be leading and delivering occupational hygiene services nationally, taking ownership of team management, mentoring, client advice and project delivery while championing innovation and technical excellence.
Core Responsibilities:
Deliver quality occupational hygiene advice consistent with WHS legislation and Standards.
Provide technical leadership in developing occupational health and hygiene risk assessments and monitoring programs.
Scope and deliver onsite occupational hygiene investigations of airborne contaminants (dust, silica, asbestos, DPM, vapours and gases), noise and vibration, including oversight of sampling strategies, exposure monitoring, data interpretation and statistical analysis.
Apply appropriate qualitative and quantitative exposure assessment methodologies to support decision making.
Prepare clear, technically robust reports suitable for senior operational leaders and executive management.
Conduct peer review of team reports to ensure accuracy and quality.
Maintain client relationships through timely, high‐quality technical advice.
Collaborate on proposals, tenders and business development initiatives.
Contribute to team capability and professional development through the management, coaching and mentoring of occupational hygienists and hygiene technicians.
About You:
Extensive experience across a range of occupational hygiene hazards and workplace environments.
Demonstrated senior‐level advisory capability within a consulting or complex organisational setting.
Full Membership of AIOH, with intent to progress toward Certified Occupational Hygienist (COH).
Strong technical report writing skills and high attention to data quality.
A commitment to continuous career development and applied problem solving.
Eligibility to work in Australia or New Zealand and a current driver's licence.
