We're growing - new factory plans, new equipment, big projects ahead - and we need a hands-onMaintenance Technicianwho wants to be at theCentre of it.
This isn't a stand-around role.
You'll be the go-to person keeping our production lines, nailing machines, saws, hydraulics and material handling equipment at peak performance.
If you love fixing things, hate downtime, and take pride in a plant that runs like clockwork - this is your job.
Key Responsibilities:
To maximize equipment uptime and ensure the safe and efficient operation of all machinery through a proactive, preventive maintenance program.
1.Safety & Compliance:Ensure all maintenance activities adhere to strict OH&S; regulations and lock-out/tag-out procedures.
2.Preventative Maintenance:Develop, execute, and refine a comprehensive preventive maintenance program to maximize equipment uptime and prevent failures.
3.Fault Diagnosis and Rectification:Promptly respond to equipment breakdowns, diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic issues,
and perform effective repairs to minimize downtime.
4.Equipment Optimization:Proactively identify opportunities to improve machinery performance.
Undertake modifications and overhauls to enhance efficiency, reliability, and overall equipment effectiveness (OEE).
5. Teamwork:Work closely with the production team to schedule maintenance, manage spare parts inventory, and ensure minimal disruption to our high-volume manufacturing schedule.
6. Reporting & Analysis:Maintain detailed maintenance logs, report on key performance indicators (KPIs) such as uptime and PM completion rates and analyze data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
What We're Looking For:
Proven experience inmechanical maintenance within an industrial/manufacturing plant
Strong fault-finding and troubleshooting ability
Highly motivated, reliable, and production-focused
Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-volume setting
A team player who also takes ownership and initiative
Strong safety mindset and communication skills
