Council are seeking driven, friendly, passionate and confident individual, to join our team as a Treatment operation's Assistant Trainee.
You will gain hands-on experience while completing a Certificate III in Water Industry Operations (Drinking Water).
Based at Dalby,the successful applicant will be:
Assisting to interpret job specifications and job orders;
Assisting with scheduling and resourcing;
Assisting with daily operation and maintenance of water and wastewater treatment plants, pump stations, bores, reservoirs, pipelines, and associated infrastructure;
Undertaking manual handling / labouring duties as directed by Supervisor;
Working as a team member when undertaking water and wastewater activities and meet with required standards and timeframes




About yourself
A person in this position will:
Need to hold a relevant Year 12 Certificate in Education OR be able to demonstrate equivalent related experience.
It is also highly desirable for the successful candidate to have a basic understanding of the Water Operations Industry.
Be required to complete a Certificate III in Water Industry Operations (Drinking Water) within 24 months;
Hold a current Queensland C Class Licence (is desirable).
Hold an OH&S; Construction Induction White Card is essential or willingness to obtain an OH&S; Construction Induction White Card prior to commencement.
Be required to undertake a Pre-Employment Medical.
Applicants may be required to undertake pre-employment literacy and numeracy tests.
Ability to work independently and in a team environment to work towards and achieve team objectives; and
Ability to multi-task while maintaining high attention to detail.
