IT Infrastructure & Compliance Specialist (Contract)
IT Infrastructure & Compliance Specialist (Contract)
Based at Dandenong South, VIC
6-month – Fixed- Term Contract role
ABCorp is a well-respected global organisation and one of the world's longest established and trusted suppliers of secure transaction products, operating since ****.
With a proud history and strong presence, our diverse products and services portfolio include documents (mail-house), cards, print and creative multi-channel solutions across a variety of different industries that allow our customers to connect with their customers.
ABCorp is seeking an experienced and hands-on person to take on ownership and drive the compliance outcomes of a project whilst managing inhouse IT Infrastructure.
This is a wide-ranging role focusing on Windows Server and Linux Infrastructure that impact the core business systems.
This position will report to the Head of Infrastructure – Australasia.
Role
A hands-on role split between two halves: performing operational IT infrastructure tasks across server, network, on-premises, and cloud environments, and analysing and responding to regulatory compliance audit questions.
You'll act as the go-to person for both hands-on infrastructure work and technical audit response during the engagement and will build tooling to make future audit responses faster, five days a week at the Dandenong site.
Key tasks and responsibilities:
Operational IT
Maintain and support IT infrastructure including servers, networks, and endpoints, across an even mix of Microsoft Windows Server and Linux environments.
Work hands-on with infrastructure systems setup and support across the site, from initial build through to day-to-day operations.
Perform OS upgrades and patching across both Windows Server and Linux (Ubuntu preferred, RedHat at minimum) and join Linux systems to Microsoft Active Directory domains.
Provide operational,
ad-hoc support to the business as issues and requests arise.
Work with site teams to resolve infrastructure incidents and escalate where needed.
Regulatory compliance audit analysis and response
Analyse and respond to regulator and auditor questions such as IRAP, SOC 2, and PCI or any other audit requirements, preparing clear, accurate written answers.
For example: confirming cryptographic implementations meet required standards (such as pre-hashing requirements for post-quantum signature schemes like ML-DSA-65 and ML-DSA-87 using SHA-384 and SHA-512 respectively), or explaining how database access is restricted by work duty through least privilege, database roles, views, and tokenisation to enforce need-to-know.
Support evidence gathering, control reviews, and documentation for ongoing IRAP, SOC 2, and PCI audit assessments.
Where capacity allows, contribute to the design of an Audit & Compliance portal in Jira Cloud for lodging and tracking ABCorp's regulatory compliance data and activities over time.
Skills and experience:
Solid, evenly balanced experience across Microsoft Windows Server and Linux (Ubuntu preferred, RedHat at minimum) administration, with a hands-on approach to both setup work and ad-hoc troubleshooting.
Experience performing OS upgrades and patching on both platforms, and domain-joining Linux hosts to Microsoft AD.
Experience in cloud server administration (an added advantage).
Working knowledge of IT security principles and controls.
Understanding of IRAP, SOC 2, or PCI requirements and the ability to translate technical details into audit-ready answers.
Exposure to Jira Cloud administration is a plus, but not essential.
Highly organised with effective planning and prioritising skills to meet agreed timelines.
Exceptional problem-solving, analytical and diagnostic skills.
Technical & Functional Requirements
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
Strong attention to detail with the ability to validate complex configurations and datasets
Desirable certifications:
ITIL or equivalent service management experience
