Alongside our aeromedical and patient transport services, we deliver a range of primary health care services aimed at improving access to quality healthcare for people living in rural and regional communities.
The Royal Flying Doctors Service & RWAV are collaborating to find a GP for the RFDS Robinvale General Practice in Northern-Western Rural Victoria.
As a General Practitioner, you would have a chance to join a practice that supports a high need community and make a positive impact on the patients in the region.
The Royal Flying Doctors Service holds a legacy of extraordinary accomplishments in primary care across Australia, and this practice continues to contribute to areas in need by providing health services to a region that has had challenges in the past with attracting healthcare workers.
You will have the support and guidance of both RWAV and the RFDS to begin working either in full or part-time capacities at this practice.
About Your Role:
Provide comprehensive GP services to a range of diverse patients in country Victoria.
Join a dedicated clinical team including nursing staff and practice manager.
Support a community currently experiencing long wait times for in-person GP appointments.
Deliver high-quality care within a locum-supported model while contributing to long-term service continuity.
Collaborate closely with the Practice Manager and committed nursing team to improve clinic operations and patient outcomes.
Participate in rural generalist-style care as required, aligning with community needs.
DPA & MM5 location.
Your Desired Skills & Experience:
CurrentAHPRA Specialist Registration
Experience working in rural or regional settings, or an interest in rural generalism.
Strong clinical assessment, diagnosis, and management skills across a broad patient demographic.
Ability to work autonomously while integrating effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
Adaptability and resilience, with a genuine commitment to improving a developing practice.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust within a culturally diverse community.
