Job Description
Build mining sector, rotary drilling market knowledge for NOV ReedHycalog in Australia and New Zealand, focusing on performance drilling applications where product is sold on measurable operational value, identify and define performance-led market and product requirements, create a field-trial pipeline, mobilise internal and external resources to provide product, provide ongoing insight and business development, with a mindset for sustained growth.
Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
Map priority sites / accounts, including rig count, metres drilled, incumbent suppliers, buying authority and contractor channel relationships, validate SAM.
Build qualified opportunities and secure field trials with defined baselines, success criteria, data rights and conversion terms.
Deliver paid conversions, maintain pricing / margin discipline and create performance cases
Recommend direct / partner mix, local inventory and refurbishment model, required engineering, HSE and operational support for scale
Present products, applications and value propositions to customers.
Prepare quotations, commercial proposals and negotiate within approved guidelines.
Maintain accurate CRM records, forecasts and sales pipeline information
Work closely with service, product, marketing and customer support teams to deliver customer outcomes
Resolve customer issues promptly while maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction.
Represent the company professionally at customer sites, industry events and technical meetings.
Key Performance Indicators
Fully researched and updated SAM for priority sites / accounts
Build agreed number of qualified opportunities and field trials
Deliver agreed number of paid conversions
Create performance cases
Current customer acquisition
Pipeline conversion rate




CRM accuracy and forecast reliability
Customer retention and satisfaction.
Qualifications
Qualifications & Experience
10 years demonstrated experience in business development, technical sales or account management within Australia and New Zealand mining sector, specifically in targeted performance rotary drilling applications.
Strong commercial acumen with a proven ability to grow revenue
Excellent negotiation, presentation and relationship management skills.
Experience using CRM systems.
Willingness to undertake regular travels.
