Project Manager – Commercial & High-End Joinery
Refined Living Joinery & Furniture is a growing, premium manufacturer delivering exceptional architectural fit-outs.
We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to spearhead our expanding pipeline of commercial joinery projects, while also managing our boutique, luxury residential builds.
Operating from our up-to-date office and factory in Northgate, you will act as the primary client contact for commercial contracts (such as premium offices, retail, hospitality, and institutional spaces).
You will successfully drive these large-scale commercial fit-outs alongside high-spec residential packages from initial handover through to final site installation.
Your Key Responsibilities
Commercial Fit-Out Delivery: Lead and manage major architectural commercial joinery contracts, ensuring multi-site coordination meets rigorous builder program dates.
Bespoke Residential Oversight: Manage custom, high-end residential joinery assignments (luxury kitchens, detailed robe packages, and specialized millwork).
Stakeholder Management: Liaise directly with commercial builders, site managers, clients, suppliers, and specialized sub-contractors.
Production & Engineering Pipeline: Collaborate with in-house CAD Drafting and Production teams to verify shop drawings and ensure materials are fully available before manufacturing begins.
Financial Control: Meticulously monitor commercial project budgets, track contract variations, and handle progress claims accurately.
Site & Scheduling: Execute accurate site measures, attend critical site coordination meetings, and program installation schedules.
About You
You possess a strong background within commercial joinery, shopfitting, or architectural cabinetry, backed by the ability to keep fast-paced multi-site schedules moving.




You are as confident managing complex paperwork and contracts as you are coordinating with hands-on production teams.
Required Criteria:
Commercial Joinery Focus: Proven project management experience handling commercial joinery fit-outs, shopfitting contracts, or large-scale commercial cabinetry packages.
Internal Team Collaboration: Strong ability to communicate effectively with internal teams—including sales, drafting, purchasing, production, and installation—ensuring seamless information flow from handover to delivery.
Site Scheduling & Adaptability: Exceptional scheduling capabilities with the agility to proactively re-act to fluid site changes, evolving site requirements, and builder delays without losing project momentum.
Contract Administration: Clear understanding of commercial contractual obligations, with proven experience identifying, documenting, and managing project variations, Extensions of Time (EOTs), and progress claims.
Bespoke Capabilities: Strong technical understanding of high-end custom cabinetry, architectural materials, and luxury residential finishes.
Communication: Elite communication and negotiation skills with the confidence to handle commercial builders, corporate clients, and site contractors.
Software & Logistics: Competence interpreting complex shop drawings and using job management software (e.g., Jobman, WorkGuru); must hold a valid Australian Driver's Licence.
