The Role
EPE is looking for an experienced HR Advisor to join our team and play a key role in delivering practical, responsive and high quality HR support across our business.
Working closely with the HR Manager, you will take ownership of a broad range of operational HR activities across the employee lifecycle, supporting our teams across Australia, New Zealand and the UK.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an HR generalist who enjoys variety, likes getting things done and wants exposure across recruitment, employee relations, learning and development, WHS, compliance and broader HR initiatives.
No two days will look the same.
Key responsibilities
Recruitment & Onboarding
Coordinate end to end recruitment across Australia, Current Zealand and the UK.
Draft and publish job advertisements, screen applications and coordinate interviews.
Conduct reference and background checks.
Prepare employment contracts and onboarding documentation.
Coordinate pre employment requirements including police checks, medicals and security clearances.
Manage onboarding and induction activities.
Support managers throughout the recruitment process.
Employee Lifecycle & HR Advisory
Act as a first point of contact for day to day HR enquiries.
Provide practical advice to managers on HR policies, procedures and people matters.
Prepare contracts, variations, employment letters and probation documentation.
Coordinate probation reviews and employee changes.
Maintain accurate employee records and HR systems.
Coordinate offboarding and exit interviews.
Support employee relations matters in partnership with the HR Manager.
Help drive a positive, collaborative and high performing workplace culture.
Learning & Development




Coordinate company learning and development initiatives.
Maintain training and compliance records.
Coordinate mandatory and annual training programs.
Liaise with internal and external training providers.
Support performance review processes.
Assist with graduate, internship and employee development programs.
Work Health & Safety
Assist with day to day WHS administration and compliance activities.
Assist with incident reporting and investigations.
Coordinate Return to Work activities.
Work with the WHS Manager to maintain WHS registers, records and documentation.
Support risk assessments and corrective actions.
Coordinate safety meetings.
HR Compliance & Projects
Support compliance with employment legislation and company policies.
Maintain confidential personnel records and organisational information.
Prepare HR reports and workforce metrics.
Support annual initiatives including salary reviews, engagement surveys and performance reviews.
Monitor work rights and visa requirements where applicable.
Contribute to HR projects, organisational change and process improvements.
Identify opportunities to streamline and improve our HR systems and processes.
Essential Qualifications and Experience
A tertiary qualification in Human Resources, Business or a related discipline, or significant equivalent experience.
Approximately 3-5 years' experience in an HR Advisor, HR Generalist or similar role.
Demonstrated end to end recruitment experience and a genuine love for recruitment.
Sound knowledge of Australian employment legislation and HR practices.
Experience coordinating learning and development activities.
Experience supporting WHS administration.
Strong understanding of the employee lifecycle.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong organisation and attention to detail.
Confidence building relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
The ability to manage multiple priorities in a busy environment.
Experience using an HRIS, with Employment Hero experience highly regarded.




Experience working across multiple countries or within Defence, Government or Professional Services would be highly regarded.

You are organised, approachable and confident providing practical support to both managers and employees.
Importantly, you enjoy taking ownership.
You can manage competing priorities, work with a high degree of confidentiality and judgement, and aren't afraid to roll up your sleeves when something needs to get done.
