An exciting opportunity exists for a suitably experienced and qualifiedSpanish Teacherto join the Willunga Waldorf School from mid-September.
Willunga Waldorf School is a thriving, contemporary, independent K to 12 school nestled in the beautiful Southern Vales of South Australia, close to magnificent coastline and surrounded by vines and almond groves.

About You
The successful applicant will be aninspiring language teacherwith a genuine interest and warmth for facilitating students' individual learning journeys in a Waldorf classroom setting.
They will be a team player with excellent interpersonal and communication skills, have a generally positive attitude and outlook, and are able to set boundaries with empathy and respect for students, colleagues, and the parent community.
About the Role
ThePrimary School Spanish Teacherwill be responsible for implementing the Spanish curriculum across the primary and middle school years (classes 1 to 7), in consultation with and supporting the Class Teachers as needed.
This requires a good knowledge of the overall Steiner/Waldorf curriculum indications within each year level taught so they can see how non-English language education is integrated into the whole.
Key Selection Criteria
Proven experience teaching Spanish to primary-aged children, preferably in a Waldorf or progressive educational setting
Native or near-native fluency in Spanish with authentic pronunciation, cultural knowledge, and familiarity with Latin American/Spanish traditions
Knowledge of the Australian Steiner Curriculum Framework (ASFC) and the Australian Professional Standards for Teacher (APST)
Ability to design multisensory, playful, and imaginative lessons
Strong connection to Spanish-speaking cultures and the ability to integrate festivals, folklore, and real-world examples into lessons
Warm, empathetic, and collaborative personality with the ability to build trust and connection with children, parents, and staff
Demonstrated ability to develop, document and differentiate curriculum, adapting lessons to children's developmental stages
Ability to manage classrooms effectively and establish a predictable, rhythmic classroom structure
Experience working with neurodiverse students
Commitment to Reconciliation
Commitment to ongoing professional development in both language teaching and Waldorf pedagogy
Must have full working rights in Australia
Applicants must hold a current registration (or eligibility for registration) with the Teachers Registration Board of SA; hold a current "not-prohibited" SA Working with Children Check and provide/obtain RRHAN-EC and Provide First Aid in an Education and Care Setting certificates before commencement of employment.

Terms of Appointment
This is apermanent, part-time positionof initially ****** FTE over three days.
The FTE will increase each year as dual-streaming progresses.
Remuneration will be in accordance with the current Willunga Waldorf School Enterprise Agreement.
Applicants should note that due to the nature of the Steiner curriculum and timetabling structures, student contact time may vary from term to term.
A calculation will be made across each year to provide an average FTE.
