What you will be doing
As a Communication Technician you will be responsible for the below duties:
Maintaining and troubleshooting site communication systems
Diagnosing faults across wireless, radio and LTE networks
Programming and fault finding on Hexagon CAS and OAS-HV systems
Supporting Modular Mining and fleet management communication systems
Maintaining P25 digital radio communication equipment
Troubleshooting Cambium and Ubiquiti wireless networks
Supporting Rajant wireless mesh network infrastructure
Maintaining communication systems across mining equipment and light vehicles
Interrogating network switches and communication hardware
Conducting preventative maintenance and system upgrades
What you will need
To be successful in this role you will need to have the below:
Certificate III in Telecommunications
Experience with the above duties
Coal board medical within last 2 years
Registered Cablers Licence (BICSI)
Standard 11
Experience working with LTE (4G) systems
Strong troubleshooting and fault-finding abilities
Current Driver's Licence
